Here's the story:

On day 1, while filming outside, Tony twisted his ankle in a little indentation in the grass. After the take Joe suggested a re-shoot (re-shooting on video is free), "let's make it perfect", Joe said.

Here's what Tony replied," Joe, let's keep it as is. Students of self-defense can't be brainwashed into thinking real fights look pretty or that every master is perfect. Yes, I slipped, but what's more important is that I recovered, improvised and continued - and that's the formula for street survival. If I were to re-shoot it, it would just be another choreographed illusion of what fighting isn't."

Blauer has since become known for this honesty and spontaneity on his "One Take Only" productions. As he puts it, "You can't choreograph a street fight, you don't get a second chance; the mind set, the tactics and the commitment must be there in advance of the real attack. Train as you must fight."

Our collection spans documentary-style seminars and training phases from 1980 to present. Hence our tapes vary in production quality from the 'home video' generation to professionally edited tapes. (We now shoot digitally with a wireless microphone.)

Many of Tony's sessions are taped for after-action evaluation; most of Tony's 'best' info is caught LIVE, while he's teaching a class or seminar. Often, what started out as a personal video gets released by demand and necessity. Invest in the education not the ornamentation.

DVD’s

Our DVD’s were created to accommodate the overwhelming requests for our material using the DVD format. Picture quality varies since many of these transfers were made from the original analog VHS source. *Our latest tapes are being filmed from a digital source.

We trust that you will study the material for it's content and recognize the value in owning these important self-defense DVDs.

DURATION/QUANTITY

Most of our videos are 2 hours or more in length; in fact, we have several titles that run 3 & 4 hours long, on these packages, ordering 1 tape is actually like getting 3 – 5 videos from a company that only sells 45-minute tapes. And since we don’t do retakes or choreograph, investing in a Blauer video is almost like attending a live seminar.

* For more advanced practitioners and those more grounded in our research, we recently shot a new tactical series that consist of 30-minute intense bursts of drills and information.

REFUNDS

Due to the unfortunate increase in black market video sales & increases in home video piracy there are no refunds on opened videos. If for some reason you are truly unhappy with a selection we will exchange your tape for another video of equal value or offer you a credit against a future purchase.

We will refund unopened tapes or replace defective tapes. If you are unhappy with your selection and want to exchange it for another, no problem, but there is a 20% restocking charge on 'opened' returned items.

SHIPPING

All products (except HIGH GEAR suits, which are hand-crafted by order) are shipped within 72 hours if they are in stock (You will be notified if an item is backordered and it will be shipped as soon as it arrives at our office).

We ship most orders by special courier (usually UPS), which allows us to insure and track your order. Most orders in North America arrive within 5 – 7 business days from date of shipping.

Orders to PO Boxes are sent airmail, as most couriers will not ship to a PO address. This takes additional time. Overseas orders vary depending on continent and local mail service, expect anywhere from 2 - 8 weeks for delivery to another continent.

Overnight express can be arranged; there is an additional charge.

All charges are in US dollars. We accept VISA, MasterCard. If you're ordering from another country, the US $ equivalent on the day of your transaction will appear on your statement. If you are ordering using our secure on-line system, your card will be billed immediately. Depending on how your credit card processes payment and currency exchange, you may see a different rate or dollar on your statement, however, the actual amount you are charged will only be the US dollar amount based on the website pricing or a special promotion etc.
